UDE’s Ruhr Institute for Software Technology, known as paluno (https://paluno.uni-due.de/en/), is one of the largest software engineering research institutes in Germany. 12 professors and more than 100 researchers are jointly working at the forefront of software engineering research. They investigate and evaluate principles, techniques, methods, and tools for engineering, operating, and adapting future software-intensive systems.
The paluno team conducts fundamental and applied research on important areas of software engineering, including autonomous and ML/AI-based systems, software architecture, security-privacy-trust, cloud computing, human-computer-interaction, and digital learning environments.
