The French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) is the largest public research organization in France, with around 1 100 services and/or research units (either joint or not) throughout the country. As a multidisciplinary institution, it covers all fields of scientific research driving various programs and actions designed to address society and industry expectations. In particular, the CNRS has the following missions: (i) to evaluate and carry out all research capable of advancing knowledge and bringing social, cultural, and economic benefits to the society,(ii) to contribute to the application and promotion of research results, (iii) to develop scientific information, (iv) to support research training, and (v) to participate in the analysis of the national and international scientific climate and its potential for evolution in order to develop a national policy.

The I3S/CNRS laboratory is affiliated to the INS2I CNRS Institute and a member of Université Côte d’Azur. The Université Côte d’Azur was created in 2015 as a Community of Universities, which brings together, through agreements, all of the well-known, internationally visible higher learning and research public and private entities on the Côte d’Azur. Université Côte d’Azur is part of the 10 national excellence initiatives (IDEX) selected by the French government to benefit from exceptional grants in order to support the development of some research and higher education centers with a global visibility. I3S/CNRS Laboratory consists of 300 people including around 100 professors or associate professors. Main research topics of the laboratory are “Computer Science” and “Computer Engineering, Automation and Signal Processing”.

CNRS is leading WP7 and contributes to WP4 and 5. CNRS will bring to the project its expertise in supporting the systemic and multi-level behavioral monitoring and analysis of Cyber-Physical systems.
